A little backstory.

11 years ago when I was on maternity leave, I was at a crossroads with my career. I was working as a tax accountant trying to grow my photography. I was searching for ways to transition into photography full time but wasn’t sure how to make the numbers work. Was a studio the right answer? I thought it could work… but ultimately it felt forced.

Over the next few years I found myself getting impatient as I felt I should have been able to figure out a way to pursue my dream full time, but I also believe in making smart strategic moves so I continued to wait.

Fast forward three years later, I was on my next maternity leave. The time had come to leave the number crunching behind and start my own business. It was scary but I was ready for it.

But was it time to have a physical space? That part didn’t feel quite right.

Over the next 8 years I will continue to crunch numbers, tour spaces, and even put the idea to bed at times.

But now here we are and I couldn’t be more excited. It’s small and simple, but it’s exactly what we need.
