Some seasons of life quietly change you… and some completely redefine the direction you’re meant to go.

This rebrand is so much more than a new name, logo, or aesthetic. It’s a reflection of the kind of work I’ve fallen deeply in love with creating, work that feels emotional, intimate, empowering, and honest.

The kind of moments that aren’t just seen, but felt.

The quiet in-between moments during an intimate wedding. The freedom and confidence a woman rediscovers during a bo***ir session. The passion behind a brand built from the ground up. The way love, vulnerability, connection, and storytelling all deserve to be captured with intention.

For a long time, I felt this shift happening creatively and personally, and I finally decided to trust it.

This next chapter is rooted in connection, emotion, art, and creating spaces where people feel fully seen as they are.

I’m so excited for what’s ahead and for the stories I’ll get to tell in this new era of Ember Era Studio 🖤

My bo***ir work now has its own dedicated space under Ember Era Uncovered, , a space created fully for women’s empowerment, confidence, and becoming unapologetically yourself.

To celebrate this new beginning, I’ll also be hosting a special session giveaway starting Monday 5/11, a little way to thank you for being here and to officially step into this next era with me. More details coming soon 🤍

As promised- Pay What You Can Micro Sessions!

What does this mean…
Basically you pay a small non-refundable session fee of $35 to hold your spot and promise you'll show up, and at your session you pay what you can afford for the remainder. That way no one is excluded because of financial limitations.

TWO dates available - April 16th + April 22nd
Micro Minis include:
10 minute session
5 Digital Images
LOCATION: Indoor Studio in Holly, MI
PRICE: $35 small retainer fee + Pay anything additional that you would like (no required)
FOR WHO: Families, Couples, solo

WHAT THE HECK ARE WE GONNA DO NOW?!

Well let’s back it up a few months shall we..

I was pretty Mia from here for FIVE months, only posted 4 times. There are a ton of reasons as to why but the main one, we went through some serious sh*t in ‘22 and I just didn’t have the mental space for socials.

And wouldn’t you know, I am living proof you can disappear from socials and guess what? Your biz WILL still be there. If you haven’t taken even a small break, HIGHLY recommend, 1000/100!

I’m not saying you have to disappear for that long but I am saying it’s okay to take healthy breaks from time to time.

So DeVoN… what’s the plan?

Well the plan is take on less this year. Less in the biz and less in our personal lives.

We are working on some BIG moves over here including a freaking amazing rebrand + website.

We are also shifting our focus a lot. We love our weddings but we no longer will be taking on so many traditional larger weddings. Instead our “wedding” focus will be more on small weddings, meaning less than 75 people and ELOPEMENTS!

Don’t worry, weddings booked for this year are not affected and we cannot wait to celebrate with you this year!

I know where my heart it and it’s where all the elopements are lol. At the courthouse all the way to Portland that’s where you’ll find me from now on.

I will also be shifting our focus to more indoor studio couples sessions and BO***IR! I’ve always offered bo***ir but I’ve always put it to the side a bit and never fully offered it as often as I’d like. I will be starting a private bo***ir page, and I’m also going to be posting something fun bo***ir related in stories tonight so don’t miss it!

And finally, we will no longer be offering senior or mini sessions (with the exception of Mother’s Day, fall and holiday/winter). These sessions don’t serve me and I want to give my clients the best of the best! If you’re looking for someone that offers these I know some amazingly awesome people I’ll refer you to!
