I am a small-town Michigan girl with a lifelong passion for photography. Since I started wearing glasses, I became especially amazed with the ability to zoom into details and capture a moment for eternity. My first camera was a Samsung which was gifted to me by my father in 2018 which traveled with me to Iowa and around Michigan. In 2020 I made the investment for my first Nikon, a COOLPIX P900. Th

is is the camera that I have captured most of my pictures with to this day. In the fall of 2021, I graduated from Grand Rapids Community College with an Associates in Business Administration. With more time on my hands I have decided to shift my focus on my passions and share my photos with the world.

Road trip up north!

This was our first road trip with Marcy and first time getting to use the rooftop with Jeff's new truck. The smoke was still hanging in the air, but according to air quality maps it was safe

A week before our planned trip Marcy got sprayed by a skunk, and then only a couple days before she got stung by a bee. She's a little terrified of our backyard now but we're working on making it a safe space again. Jeff got sick right before we took off so we had to delay it a day. We really wanted to go to Tennessee or Virginia but the forecast was not in our favor. Although there were many hurdles and last minute changes, time spent with these two is always my favorite. I'm so happy we were able to make it work and get this quality time together. We learned so much and I know the next trip will be even better

Found this lady beetle pupa the other day.

I never learned much about a ladybugs life stages. But finding this lil lady inspired me to do some research. In the larvae stage of the cycle they look pretty gnarly - you should look it up if you have a second.

In the pupa stage (pictured) the beetle undergoes a dramatic physical transformation. This stage renders the beetle immobile which explains why it was such an easy going model for me 📸

Ladybugs survive on a steady diet of plant damaging insects like aphids and mites. They actually protect our gardens from pests guys!

Sometimes the not perfect photos are my favorites, like this one from 2024 💗 thank you Jeff Rogers for being the best travel companion I could ever ask for. I'm endlessly blessed having you in my life. There's no one I'd rather spend my birthday with sitting in lawn chairs in our not quite finished basement on my birthday to keep our pup happy

My mom and I spent the day in the field taking in the beauty and of course hit up some garage sales on the way home. It was a much needed good day full of many great finds 🌞
