What a FUN evening with Lexi + her momma a few weeks back!! They picked me up and we spent the next few hours driving around, snappin’ pics, and yappin’ waaaay too much 😂 Basically the best kind of day if you ask me!

We fit SO much into this one; downtown, volleyball, outfit changes, and then ended the night in the water with the prettiest light. 🤌🏼 I’m obsessed with how Lexi’s gallery is coming together!!

Alsoooo, a little reminder as I SLOWLY make my way through all these galleries — I am still, yes STILL, on maternity leave 😂 I’ve been shooting my b***y off lately, but the editing part is happening a little more slowly whenever I can find the time! Between wet diapers, baby screams, school drop-offs, meal times, snuggles, and all the other things mom life contains right now, I’m editing whenever I get a free minute... which some days isn’t many. 🙃

Messages + emails are the same way, I promise I’m not ignoring you, I’m just answering them when I can squeeze them in!

Once I head back to my full-time job in mid-October, everything will start getting back to my normal turnaround + response times. Until then, THANK YOU for being patient with me while I shoot my b***y off, slowly chip away at these galleries, and soak up the last few weeks of maternity leave with my boys. 🫶🏼

Okay BYEEEE, off to go take my nephew’s senior pics now too because apparently I don’t know how to chill 😂📸

Would you believe me if I told you this was not only my first time shooting at St. Feriole Island, but my first time EVER being there?! Because HOW have I been missing out on this place?! 😍

Emma’s senior session had a little bit of everything—gorgeous old buildings, flowers, the river, those bluffs in the background AND the prettiest golden light…all in ONE spot! No driving all over or wasting session time traveling between locations. Basically a senior session dream. 🙌🏼

& apparently I’m not the only one who got the memo because since Emma’s session, I’ve somehow had THREE more sessions here 😂 Apparently St. Feriole Island is THE place to be this summer!

But seriously… Emma absolutely ROCKED her session and made my first time shooting here a pretty dang good one. 🤎

ARCHER IS ONE! 🦌🤎

What a year it has been for this little man and his parents, and how lucky am I to have captured it all. From maternity photos while they were waiting to meet him, to Archer’s newborn photos (which he was absolutely NOT a fan of 😂), and now somehow…his ONE YEAR photos!!

And can we talk about this setup?! The camo, blaze orange, antlers, four wheeler, and that golden light 😍 talk about the perfect little outdoorsman!

She’s back…. 🙋🏼‍♀️📸

She is me. I’m she. And I’m back from maternity leave… well, kind of. 😂

I’m officially back to shooting, but I can’t promise my response time is quite back to normal yet. 🫣 I’m still very much in the newborn trenches with my one-month-old, so emails and messages tend to get put on the back burner while I’m editing galleries, taking care of a newborn, keeping up with my big FOUR-year-old who starts school next week 😭🫣, and just generally figuring out this whole mom-of-two thing.

And apparently I decided to jump right back in because my first week back I had FOUR sessions, followed by three more this week. 😂 Safe to say busy season is officially HERE and doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere for the next few months—and I am so ready for it. Bring on allllll the fall sessions!! 🍂📸

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to everyone who has been so patient with me as I navigate this new season of life. Balancing being a mama of two + photographer is a whole new adventure, and it’ll get even crazier when I head back to my full-time job later this fall. Your patience with slower replies, gallery turnaround times, and me in general means more than you know. 🤎

& for my very first session back behind the camera… meet Brody, a Fennimore Class of 2027 senior! 🎓

I have LOVED getting to photograph so many seniors over the past couple of years, and this session was the perfect way to jump back into it. We got a little bit of everything—downtown, creek side, golden hour AND the basketball court. 👏🏼

And if you’re a 2027 senior who has procrastinated booking those senior photos… I still have a little room on my calendar for you! 😉 It’s definitely not too late. Let’s make it happen! 🤎

And that’s a wrap (for a little while). 🤎

My last session before I trade my camera for a few weeks of soaking up newborn snuggles with my own little guy, who will be here any day now. 🥹

It only feels right that my final session before maternity leave was this cozy in-home newborn session with the Neuroths and their sweet new addition, baby Beckett. He was an absolute dream from start to finish, and these quiet moments in his nursery reminded me once again why in-home newborn sessions have such a special place in my heart. 🫶🏼👣

There’s just something so meaningful about documenting your baby exactly where their story begins—the nursery you carefully put together, the tiny details you’ll eventually forget, and the place you’ll spend countless late nights rocking them to sleep.

Safe to say… I need all the in-home newborn sessions when I’m back!! 🤍

As I officially head into maternity leave, I still have a few galleries to finish editing, and everything is on track to be delivered right on schedule, so no worries there! I’ll be working away until every last gallery is wrapped up. Emails and messages may just have a little slower response time over the next few weeks as we adjust to life as a family of four, so thank you in advance for your patience.

And thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for trusting me to capture your biggest milestones before I take a little break. I can’t wait to be back this fall with so many more stories to tell. 🤍📷

Meet Abbey & Austin! 🤍

Yes... another Abbey & Austin! Somehow I kicked off the week with an Abbey & Austin and wrapped it up with another one. What are the chances?!

We spent the evening wandering around Chapters on the Horizon - Wedding & Event Venue, the very place these two will become husband and wife next spring, and I don't think there could've been a more perfect setting for their engagement session. 🌿✨

Golden hour, champagne, a little time on the dock, and so many laughs—it was the best evening!

Don't mind me, I'll just be counting down the months until I get to come back and photograph their wedding in this beautiful place. I already know it's going to be a good one. 🫶🏼

If you know me, you know I’m usually go, go, go at weddings. Running from one end of the venue to the other, squatting, climbing on things I probably shouldn’t be climbing on, laying on the ground for the shot… whatever it takes. 🤣

Wellllll, doing all that at 35 weeks pregnant looked a little different. 😂 I still managed to do all of it… just at about half speed, with a few more “oofta’s” mixed in. And let me tell ya… I paid for it. I was sore for the next two days and even took a THREE HOUR nap 48 hours later. 💀😂 Ya girl was absolutely cooked.

BUT enough about me… let’s talk about THE COOPERS!!! 🤍

Abby + Austin had the most gorgeous day in Janesville at the beautiful 10southvenue, surrounded by the sweetest people, beautiful weather and so much joy. These two are the kind of couple that make my job easy—they’re effortlessly in love, trusted me every step of the way and were up for whatever idea I threw at them (even if I needed an extra second to catch my breath first 🤪).

I genuinely couldn’t be happier for these two, and I’m already obsessed with how their gallery is turning out. Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Cooper!! 🥹🤍✨

Hitting the road to get these two married today!! 🤍🚗💍

But first… can we talk about the fact that I was scrolling back through their engagement photos and realized just how TERRIBLE I am at actually posting my sessions?! 😂 Like...what the heck Lydia!!

I have so many incredible sessions from the past year that have never made their Facebook debut, and honestly that’s a crime.

So consider this your warning… prepare to be SIIIICK of me because I’m about to start sharing all the beautiful moments I’ve been keeping to myself!

Starting with these two, because they deserve their moment before they officially become husband and wife today. 🤍

And just like that, 30 days of life have gone by in the blink of an eye. 🥹🤎

A little over a month ago, everything changed. Now their days revolve around tiny stretches, little noises, endless cuddles and a baby boy who has completely stolen their hearts.

Watching first-time parents settle into their new role is one of my favorite things to capture! The love, the wonder and the way they look at him like he’s the best thing that’s ever happened to them never gets old. ✨

I’ve photographed so many big moments for these two over the years, and sitting here editing these maternity photos just feels really special. 🥹 🫶 I can't even believe that next time I see them, they will be a family of three. 🤍
