Not pictured: eating way too much (aka the perfect amount) of UDairy Creamery ice cream, looking at all the incredible submissions for art and ag competitions (loved seeing Overgrown Plant Market & Workshop's submissions to the houseplant categories!), enjoying all the award winning animals, and watching the talented young equine riders and showers strut (or trot) their stuff in the ring.
Pictured: having an incredible time at the carnival with a best friend while taking artsy photos along the way.
The Delaware State Fair is always such a fun experience, and I love watching the fairgrounds (that are right in my studio's backyard) come to life each year.
Can't wait for the Delaware State Fair in 2027!

We had so much fun running micro-sessions at the Corner Plant Lady Bingo Night at Rail Haus! Not only did we get to document the action during each bingo round, but we connected with so many cool people during the microsessions and documented all the cool plants the bingo winners walked home with. Plus, we grabbed some branding photos for T-Skincare in between bingo rounds 😉
We still have art prints available, and a link to purchase those will be coming out in the next few weeks, so make sure you're following us for that update!

Considering the fact that I've photographed quite literally hundreds of families on the beach, it's truly a marvel this hasn't happened yet. Most importantly, the SD cards survived, and that's all that matters!

I have never seen so much volleyball at one time in my life!
Kristen & Bobby lit the court on fire this weekend at the Pottstown Rumble Volleyball Tournament! I can't believe that one of the first times I photographed an event was one of Kristen's high school volleyball games, and now I'm watching her play co-ed doubles with the love of her life wearing matching fiancé tank tops 🥹

Not even my decade of experience as a wedding professional could have prepared me for accepting my newest role: big sister of a bride 🥹
Yesterday, I got to watch my future brother in law get down on one knee and ask my little sister to marry him. The day proved to us what we already knew: that he knows and loves Kristen deeply. He lined the pathway with their closest friends and family holding up signs about their journey together, and at the end of the path, he got down on one knee. It was the little details that really struck me as proof of how well he knows my little sister - writing down a quote from one of her favorite movies of all time so he could say it perfectly while he asked her, having a volleyball decorated with "will you marry me?", and making sure the people she loved most were included. Even if they weren't there, we got the people she loves to record congratulatory messages ahead of time.
The weather was perfect, the was delicious, and it was such a perfect kick off to what will undoubtedly be an incredible season of all of our lives.

Timeless love is still alive and well and it lives in Taylor & Brenn 💕
Don't get me wrong, I love dramatic weddings - but ONLY if it's thrown by a couple who loves orchestrating that over-the-top-experience. Social media has given rise to a true detriment to the industry and the couples it serves: the expectation that every wedding needs to be a production.
As though your love MUST be celebrated with a theatrical display.
But that is PATTENTLY untrue.
If your love is loud and explosive, celebrate it with that same explosive style! But sometimes, your love is quiet. It's that sensation of safety in the arms of your partner, knowing that you're the perfect fit when you snuggle together on the couch. Sometimes it's heading to the courthouse and just signing paperwork because you already know you found your person and don't need to shout it from the mountaintops (you just have to let the government know, for like, taxes and stuff). Sometimes it's carving out a moment in the day to just take in the beauty of the love of your life while Grandma takes the kids home from the courthouse so you can be alone with your true love (and a rando photographer you found on the internet). And sometimes it means going home from the photo session to pick up the kids and go to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate, because nothing says true love like cinnamon butter and biscuits.
And that's truly beautiful.
Taylor and Brenn have the most beautiful smiles, and their eyes just sparkled when they looked at each other. They have a beautiful life ahead of them, and I'm just so grateful I got to enjoy the sunshine they radiated on their rainy elopement day 💗💕

I'm deleting all of my headshots.
I'm done with the overly stylized, picture perfect glam shots I've been using.
I found a new photographer that got me the authentic branding photos I've been looking for. She's new on the scene, but it's clear she's done her research in developing her unique style. Pulling from German expressionist cinema, she uses the Dutch angle masterfully, and her finger in the frame is clearly a commentary on how the photograph reveals more about the photographer than the subject.
Her work (credited, of course) is now up on my website so future clients can get a sense of what I'm like on the job.
But so sorry, M is from out of state, so I guess you're stuck with me as your photographer if you're coming to Delaware 🤷‍♀️

Dear Pepper's Greenhouse -
I bought this on Sunday and it was labeled as a Boston Fern. When I brought it home and planted it, it seemed fine. But when I started watering, this really weird looking growth popped out. Just want to know if it's invasive and if there are further care instructions.
I appreciate your help!
