I’ve never heard a say to another “your vote doesn’t matter so why bother.” It stands to reason that some of the things the “enlightened” like to say while pontificating on the lack of importance of civic duty are actually “answers to the test” they’ve been told to study. Looking at my today and I started reminiscing on my path. My was at in working on a , I stood next to a conveyor belt and pulled off the rotten I also hand picked cucumbers (before they get in the grocery store cucumbers are quite prickly). My next job, as a teen I worked at the customs warehouse where we would unload the trucks so the contents could be inspected. After high school I went in the and after that the . While sailing I thought to myself the isn’t it, it was a great career and I truly enjoyed it a lot of people including my mom said I was crazy for walking away into the unknown. But here’s the thing I knew something they didn’t, I knew I wanted to work in the film industry, was what I wanted to do, being that I didn’t have a predecessor I just started by buying a camera and shooting what I could for free. I’ve been an a a and now I’m a . My next move is directing. I said all this to say I’ve never ever shied away from . My spoke to me today and reminded me just how far we’ve come and to be proud of it. So if you’re out there and you’re working hard best believe it will pay off the universe rewards the bold and the hard workers. Does it hurt? Yes! Will there be disappoints and losses? Yes! Aside from the normal difficulties, It’s been a strange year, there are people experiencing their first holidays without loved ones, planning funerals, facing eviction in a couple days, may not have their essentials, or are just not feeling it today. I hope if you see this you know that you matter and what you’re dealing with is a season, push through, turn your collar to the wind, and plant your feet. One day you’ll tell the stories of what you’ve survived. whoever you may be.
