“Love isn’t just date nights and long walks on the beach. Love is not killing each other after a 26 hour road trip. Love is 3 am trips to the hospital. It’s eating grilled cheese and having slumber parties in the living room. Love is letting your wife talk you into getting a kitten and coming home with 2. Love is having someone to laugh with when you do something embarrassing in public. Love is praying for your spouse. Love is hard but it’s fun too.”

Today marks one of the most exciting days of the year: the Southern Weddings Launch Party! I can hardly believe that it's been FIVE years since I first attended the V5 celebration! It's always so fun to see vendor friends, hop in the photo booth, all while sipping a Cheerwine (NC staple item - if you haven't tried it, you need to!) 🎉

Southern Weddings Magazine is my favorite for so many reasons, but especially because of this simple message they share so perfectly: strive to have a marriage more beautiful than your wedding. Even as a single lady, I couldn't agree with this more! And while I LOVE photographing gorgeous weddings, I love seeing my couples marry the love of their life even more.
