‘For most of life, nothing wonderful happens. If you don't enjoy getting up and working and finishing your work and sitting down to a meal with family or friends, then the chances are that you're not going to be very happy. If someone bases his happiness or unhappiness on major events like a great new job, huge amounts of money, a flawlessly happy marriage or a trip to Paris, that person isn't going to be happy much of the time. If, on the other hand, happiness depends on a good breakfast, flowers in the yard, a drink or a nap, then we are more likely to live with quite a bit of happiness.’

Did you know that our session time is a small fraction of the total time spent on your session? Most of my time is spent on my editing process. I begin by uploading the entire session to Lightroom. I will start to make little edits and batch edit similar poses and lighting. Then I go through them again, more tweaks. I’ll also pick the ones that are usable, this is called culling (and really hard for an indecisive libra). As I flag the ones that make the cut I’m also making tweaks along the way. Some I’ll export after just a few tweaks, some I’ll tweak again a few more times, and others I’ll continue to edit in photoshop. In between editing rounds I need to step away to let my eyes adjust.
