yo yo yo guess what? Ive recently made a book filled with pictures of a topic that I’m very passionate about: Children with special needs/disabilities.
I made this book to be educational and teach people about a slew of diagnoses, and also to be a person first narrative. This book FIRST focuses on the kids and who they are THEN how their diagnosis effects them individually. My goal is to break societal stigmas around disabilities and show that each kid is beyond their diagnosis, and has so much to offer the world.
This book means a lot to me because as someone with a disability I often feel not fully seen for who I am beyond my diagnosis. I wanted so shed some light on that belief system and reinstate that everybody is BEYOND A DIAGNOSIS.
