5 years of photographing weddings. 4 years of doing this full time. And somehow I still get emotional that this is my actual job.
With these anniversaries coming up, I figured we're overdue for a reintroduction!!
I've photographed more weddings than I can count, traveled to incredible places, made friends out of strangers, and built a career out of something I'd do regardless of getting paid.
Looking back, I can see God's hand in so much of it. The doors He's opened, the ones He's closed, and the things that worked out better than anything I could've planned.
In 2022, I married Trey, my best friend and favorite travel partner. He's been along for this ride and even occasionally second shoots!
January came along, and we became parents to our sweet Stokely. Nothing could've prepared me for how weird time moves once you have a baby.
I've spent years telling people pictures matter, but becoming a mama has made me understand it differently. One day you’re patiently waiting for those gas smiles and the next they are belly laughing over a facial expression you wouldn’t dare do in public.
Motherhood has reminded me that the life God has given me is happening right now. Not just in the milestones, but in the ordinary days that are so easy to rush through.
I still love a beautiful wedding day, a good dress, and traveling somewhere new with my camera. But I appreciate the in-between stuff more these days, too. The way people look at each other when nobody's paying attention. Babies reaching for their mamas face. Reception first dances. The little things kids do that their parents don't realize they'll miss.
My faith is the foundation of my life, and I hope that shows in how I love people and run this business. Being invited into such meaningful days is a blessing I pray I never take for granted.
Five years later, I'm still taking too many pictures and getting just as excited about your photos as you do.
If you've trusted me with a piece of your life, thank you. God has been so good to us, and I'm grateful you're here. 🤍
