The perfect example of why I take so many photos of one setup! It often takes a few minutes for a baby to fully relax into a pose, and sometimes..they just don't! And that's completely okay!
I always start by taking a few "safe shots" before perfecting a pose, just in case baby decides they've had enough of me picking on them. In this example, sweet Jack wasn't too interested in letting me make many adjustments right away, so rather than risk missing the shot altogether, I captured the "safe version" first.
Once I knew I had enough images, I slowly worked on refining the pose.. adjusting a few details, and gently opening those sweet little fingers.
Was the first image good? Absolutely.
Was the second image even better? Definitely!!
So if it feels like I'm taking a lot of photos of the same setup, you're right, I am! BUT, I promise, there's a reason behind it. Every little adjustment can make a big difference, but I never want to sacrifice getting the shot just to chase perfection.
There is so much that I'm looking at behind the camera to capture these sweet images for you!
