Here are my shots of the Big Boy 4014 passing through! The first shot was taken near Rockview, Missouri, and the others at its stop in Scott City, Missouri!

We rose very early Saturday morning to get these shots of the Big Boy 4014 passing through Southeast, MO on its tour through the central U.S. I was a big train kid, and am still a lover of history, so I knew this was an opportunity I had to take. The “Big Boy” was the largest locomotive series ever built, and this is the only one still in operation. It was built in 1941, and is 1.2 million pounds. After sitting outside for over an hour, I got this video of the train rounding the curve near Rockview & Kelso, Missouri. If you would like to catch a glimpse of this train, it is on the move and will work its way through Missouri throughout the week. See up.com for details!

This is 1/2 videos, and will post some still shots as well!

I recently visited the Mine La Motte Cemetery, in Madison County Missouri. I have a soft spot for hidden, rural cemeteries. The stories these stones tell of it’s people always touch my heart. These are some of my favorites places to photograph. This cemetery and it’s people will make an appearance in an upcoming article about Mine La Motte.
After looking back at the photos of this session, I noticed something in this one. Do you see what I see?

A mothership looking shelf cloud/mesocyclone passing over K**b Lick this evening around 8:00pm. The rotation was visible to the naked eye. This one put on quite a show. See comments for a short video!

Hello everyone! I am eager to be sharing my photos again, as my health has improved, allowing me to get out once again! A lot of my photos will pair with posts on my blog, which can be found at msha.ke/jukeboxjennie

I recently made a trip to the ghost town of Moselle, Missouri, and this is a shot of the former bank building. Soon I will be writing a post about Moselle’s history, and then I will share all of my favorite shots from the trip!

Here are a couple of my favorite shots from the supercell that passed over Farmington yesterday. These are my favorite storm captures so far! I’m hoping for an active (but harmless) storm season & lots of photos.⛈ I also want to say that I do not condone storm chasing without training! Follow your local weather alerts and take all precautions during storm season. Stay safe, friends.

Hi everyone! Today’s photo is this one that I took of the old General Store in Zell, Missouri. If you don’t know, Zell is a small town a few miles outside Ste. Genevieve. This was my first time in Zell, and I love it. I’m planning on making a trip to take more pictures of this town! Here’s a little backstory on the building in the photo.

Zell was originally settled in 1798, with this general store being opened in the mid 1800’s. They carried groceries and all the basic necessities. Under the building is a cave, which was used as beer storage, a barber shop, and a dance hall! The store stayed open until 1979 and has been vacant since. I do hope someone saves this beauty.❤️

Some of my very first shots on film, taken at The Arcadia Academy/The Abbey. An incredible place with lots of history, and lingering energy. The Arcadia Academy was built in 1846 as an all girls school. From 1861-1863, it served as a hospital for the Union Army. Later, it became a school once again, and was eventually purchased and made into the hub of activity it is now. I had to make a trip to capture this place on film.
