What a start to some of my time off! I went out to my property Saturday night in hopes to capture some still images and GoPro footage of the , it wasn’t a complete bust but there was a decent amount of cloud cover. Kind of disappointed of last night, Sunday afternoon I searched up Cox Canyon arch. Patty, Lindsey and I have camped overnight here and photographed the Milky Way a few+ years ago. I just didn’t know that I wanted to traverse the rock face you have to climb, with my gear in the dark (it was DARK). I kept searching and found this gem……up Hart Canyon. I know this area well and felt super comfortable getting there in the dark. I was excited to see this arch, so beautiful!!! Planning this out with my app, I knew where I needed to set up and the timing of the Milky Way throughout the night. The core or the galactic center will reach its peak visibility in June and July due to our latitude and I’ll have my 14mm glass instead of my 24mm. This is a result of over 400 images. Each being a :20 exposure with a :20 gap between exposures. Starting time was around 2200 and ended around 0130.

There are a few things in life I am passionate about: my family & friends, and photography. As a mother of three, I am proud to be raising my children to enjoy life to its fullest and find success in whatever they choose to do. Growing up my mom took many pictures, I have always had a fondness for photography, the fleeting moments captured & the beauty of that second in time........I finally pursued this passion in 2009.

While beautiful photos are the goal, more important is the experience of the photoshoot that makes the biggest impression on you, my friends, my family, my clients. Fond memories that make you feel great, my hope is that once you see your photos you will clearly see the beauty the rest of the world sees when they look at you.
