You have a human brain that is WIRED TO EAT and WIRED FOR PLEASURE.

That's how mankind stayed alive for thousands of years. Would we eat or have s*x if it wasn't pleasurable?

Be okay with doing the tedious work!

Tedious work will get you to your goal.

My children want to earn money for Halloween costumes.

But they don't want to pull weeds.

They don't want to do the tedious work.

Be okay with doing the tedious work - meal prepping, journaling, meal planning, grocery shopping, sleeping, reducing stress, and drinking water. You are worth it!

You feel like nothing with change.

You'll always struggle with your weight no matter what.

Ugghh!

How you feel is everything because dread will NOT create weight loss.

What creates weight loss? Joy, excitement, and commitment.

The best news?

You create your emotions with your thoughts.

Your children don't create your emotions.

Your mother-in-law doesn't create your emotions.

You create your emotions.

You think a thought. The thought creates an emotion. The emotion fuels your actions.

***Green Smoothie
1 cup spinach
3/4 cup water or coconut milk (not canned coconut milk)
1 cup of mixed fruit (mango, pineapple, strawberries, or blueberries)
1 banana

Eat it with a couple of handfuls of nuts and you'll have a satisfying breakfast!

How do I help you lose weight permanently???

We dig in and change your beliefs.

The beliefs that you have now are creating the results in your life.

If you keep believing those beliefs, then you'll keep creating the same results.

It's scary work. You've had your beliefs for decades. They're your close friends.

No one likes to lose friends.

THAT IS WHY WEIGHT LOSS CAN SEEM SO HARD!!!

Beliefs are hard to change. But they can be easy to change too.

This is the work we do.

We work on changing 1-2 beliefs at a time.

Right now, I'm working on, "Sugar is NOT a treat."

For decades, I believed that sugar was a treat. It meant celebration, date night, birthdays, Christmas, how I destressed, and more!

Right now, my husband's uncle is in hospice from complications from diabetes.

His days are numbered and he is waiting to die.

He, too, believed that sugar was important.

He loved his sugar; therefore, he didn't mange his diabetes.

I don't want to die like that or live like that.

Diabetes is devastating.

Sugar is not the real treat. My life is the real treat.

Yes, I still eat ice cream.

I just don't have to have sugar in order to have a good time or to treat myself.

You've hit a real low. You can't stop eating. You also can't stop the weight gain.

You don't know how to get out of the vicious cycle of weight gain that's causing you so much pain.

How do you step out of the cycle?

1. Feel the pain of your situation. What pain?

***The pain of feeling so out of control.
***The pain of being bloated, stuffed, and gassy.
***The pain of diseases -- bad knees, diabetes, etc.
***The pain of feeling sick after stuffing oneself.
***The pain of constant weight gain.

2. Use that pain to motivate you to change your mindset and then your actions.

Allow the pain to be your filter of truth.

Is sugar a real treat?
Or does sugar cause you so much pain in the long-term?

Does overeating really bring pleasure?
I used to think it did!
I wanted the good times to keep rolling! So I kept eating.

Now let that pain motivate you to eat foods that nourish and heal your body.

Please remember that nothing has gone wrong when you gain weight.

It's part of the plan. It happens.

Use it and learn from it. If you're still stuck, seek out help.

You want to lose weight, but part of you loves binging on sugar, Coke, ice cream, bread, alcohol, chips, etc.

Next time you binge or emotionally eat, try this afterwards.

1. Gratitude
I'm happy this happened because...
Find something about your situation to be grateful for.

2. Forgive yourself
Forgive yourself for what happened.

3. Acknowledge the truth
What is the truth behind the situation? Is binging on food a treat? Does it bring me pleasure?

4. Goals
How do you want to react next time? How will you get to your weight loss goal?

Beating yourself up never helps. Love is the answer. Love yourself as you are. You are wonderful and awesome no matter what.
