Some weddings just feel like a love story and Payton and Scott’s was truly one of those!

We spent the day at the stunning Bay Harbor Yacht Club, where they said their vows right at the water’s edge with the most gorgeous backdrop northern Michigan could offer.

From the nervous excitement before the ceremony to the pure joy on the dock after “I do,” every second of this day was nothing short of perfection. Payton, you were an absolute vision. Scott, that smile when you saw her? We caught it, and it’s everything.

Thank you both for trusting us with your love story, we had the best time capturing it, and we can’t wait for you to see what we saw. Here’s to a lifetime of adventures as Mr. & Mrs!!

Jessica + Ethan in Detroit.

What an incredible day we had with J + E earlier this year. Their engagement session felt like the perfect reflection of the two of them, personal, effortless, and filled with all the little places and moments that make their story theirs.

We started the afternoon at the iconic Michigan Central Train Station, wandering through one of Detroit’s most beautiful and historic spaces while capturing the kind of quiet, in-between moments we love most. From there, we headed to their favorite bar for a few drinks, a little laughter, and the kind of photos that feel less like posing and more like simply being together.

And then, as if Detroit had planned the ending for us, we made our way to the river just in time for the most vibrant sunset. The sky completely came alive, giving us the most beautiful backdrop to finish an already unforgettable evening.

It’s hard to believe how quickly the months have passed since this session. What started as an engagement session filled with so much excitement quickly turned into the days leading up to their wedding, and now, somehow, we’re here.

Tomorrow, we get to see J + E again and celebrate alongside the people who love them most as they officially begin this next chapter. We couldn’t be more excited to be there to document every beautiful, emotional, joy-filled moment of their day.

Emily + Eric at Shenandoah - What an incredible honor it has been to witness and capture the beautiful story of Emily + Eric! From the surprise proposal to their joyful engagement session, the heartfelt rehearsal, and finally, their magnificent wedding day, we’ve been there every step of the way. Our story with this amazing family began with Emily’s brother, and we are so deeply touched to have continued being a part of their most cherished celebrations. E+E’s wedding was a true testament to their exquisite taste, with every detail of their decor radiating beauty and elegance. When unforeseen circumstances required a last-minute venue change, we were absolutely blown away by the resilience of these two and the incredible dedication of the entire vendor team. A massive shoutout to June Events for their phenomenal work in seamlessly transitioning everything, and a huge, heartfelt hug to the entire Neff Family for trusting us with their precious memories. It’s families like yours that make our work so incredibly rewarding!

Melissa + Alex’s backyard wedding of their dreams feels like the perfect throwback this Thursday, not just because this beautiful weather is finally here, but because in just a few short weeks, we get to be reunited with these two again.

Being invited into someone’s wedding day is always incredibly special. It’s one of the most meaningful, emotional, and joy-filled chapters of their lives and it’s something we never take for granted. But what makes this the best job even more rewarding is when it doesn’t end there. Getting to witness what comes after, the real, everyday magic of building a life together, is an honor that goes far beyond the wedding day itself.

We had the privilege of capturing Melissa + Alex’s individual stories become one. Then, we watched their world grow and shift in the most beautiful way as their lives began to revolve around their sweet baby boy, Brody. And now, we’re beyond excited for this next chapter, to meet their newest and cutest addition, Sydney.

There is something so powerful about being trusted not just with someone’s “best day ever,” but with the milestones that follow that truly define a family’s story may just be our favorite. It’s relationships like these that remind us why we love what we do. We truly can’t wait to see them again and continue documenting their growing family!
