I just want to say thank you, ihedin, ahehee to everyone who wished me a happy birthday! I tried to reply to everyone, so if i missed you, I apologize. It was an awesome weekend too! Thank you Miguel Herrera for asking me to speak for your special on Saturday. That was awesome. Thank you Kip Lewis for that Sooner Magic. Thank you to my wife for just letting me be me on my birthday. I truly appreciate the bday wishes. Its my 50th year now. Going through all the bday wishes, I humbled by this life. From high school friends to friends and family I've gotten to know this year, it's an amazing life with many ups and downs. I don't know if being around a half century is supposed to be anything special, but in the bday wishes, I realized, I've been immensely blessed. I set out long time ago with dreams of being happy and having some amount of success. And while I know my parents did their best to guide me, many successes in life came from my family of friends, mentors, and family, both blood and adopted. While I ain't done yet, dang, it's been quite the ride so far.
Life is and will always be a journey. Life will allow me to break if I want, and will also provide strength to maintain a positive outlook. God forbid the day everyday begins to look the same. God forbid that I ever wake up again dreading life. God forbid that I ever recluse into a life where I lose the ability to be teachable. Lastly, I wish everyone who's come across my path good things, good blessings. While it ain't over yet, I sure as hell ain't looking back to judge where I'm headed today! Be blessed good people!
