Computer applications focus on the use of digital cameras, image capture and scanning, file management, image enhancement and manipulation using programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Bridge on state of the art Macintosh computers. Courses in the History of Photography, Digital Video (Orchard Ridge Campus only), Studio Photography, and Special Projects provide a complete photographic educational experience. Students may take classes without declaring a major in our Photographic Technology Program; courses may have prerequisites. See our webpage for course descriptions and prerequisites at: http://nickvalenti.com and follow the “Courses” and “Program” links. Students are required to provide their own analog and/or digital cameras (depending on class), film and printing paper to complete class projects. These requirements, in addition to other materials, will be discussed at the first meeting of each course.
