We’re getting some video and photo coverage of the Friends of the Rouge Fall Bug Hunt.

If anyone is interested in coming out for a few hours to help get footage, we could use an extra set of hands.

Time: Saturday, October 12th, 9:30am
Location: Meeting up in Plymouth, then following a group to multiple locations. We will be outside all day.

This is an unpaid, volunteer opportunity. We’re donating our footage to the Friends of the Rouge.

We will be running multiple cameras, Ronin 4D, Pocket 3, BMP4K, GoPro, Drones. If you have experience with any of these or want experience with any of these, feel free to come hang out for the day.

We could use a dedicated still photographer and/or someone to use the Pocket 3 and Lav to conduct short interviews.

Starting Storyboards

Film: Slow month. Figured I should get some work done at home. Time for a full script breakdown of one of my feature scripts.

They say for indie features (and I am also they in this context) that you should focus on few locations and minimal characters. This is not that.

This script is my most “ambitious” indie project. Although it does center around two primary characters (it’s a buddy film), there are other factors that make this a logistic nightmare.

Over 30 locations, spread over 70+ scenes. All night shooting with the primary focus of it being a “road” movie. So half the scenes are “driving” scenes with dialogue.

But I’m happy to say I’m going to move forward with development anyway. This breakdown will help me get a better grasp on the budget and plan some of the more difficult scenes.

This also happens to be my most personal script as it is inspired by my years as a newspaper delivery driver.
