There’s something about photographing your best friend’s last baby that just sits heavy in your chest in the sweetest way.

This isn’t just my best friend. She’s my sister in every way that matters. I’ve watched her grow, love, struggle, celebrate, and build her family piece by piece. And now, this tiny little caboose - the final chapter of their baby years - is here.

Holding my camera in that room felt different. Slower. Softer. More intentional.

Because these moments? They don’t come back. The wrinkly newborn skin. The way mama looks at her like she’s memorizing every feature. The quiet realization that this is the last time she’ll ever bring a baby home.

It’s never just photos to me. It’s preserving the weight of a moment you don’t even fully understand until it’s gone.

Being trusted with that - especially by someone who knows me inside and out — is something I’ll never take lightly.
