People ask all the time what the hardest age to photograph is. Hands down, my answer has always been TWO. Two year olds man let me tell ya, they have some ATTITUDE! They can’t hardly be bribed, they do what they want when they want and they couldn’t care less what you want them to do.
Almost every session with a 2 year old I can glance over at mom and dad and see absolute terror on their faces over their two year old running around the studio and my response? This is exactly how I would expect them to act, they are two!
My advice to anyone photographing toddlers, embrace the chaos! Roll with it, chase them, play games, try different things. It’s going to take some work but dang it’s some of the most rewarding sessions you will have. Magic happens when you let them lead the way.
