It’s your year to shine, Zoey! I’ve known Zoey since… well since I stalked her mom in a parking lot, rolled down my window and proclaimed that we needed to be friends. 🫣Our kids were babies and we were neighbors. The rest is history. Taking these pictures of you and your mama at sunset with Mazzy Star playing will go down as one of my core memories. You are one of my favorite humans and I’m so excited for your senior year and what lies beyond, Zoey!

Becca + Ben. What can I even say about these two and their wedding? What a stunning day - even the tiniest details were intentional. Ben's ring was hand turned by the bride's sister from a signed Seattle Mariners baseball bat Becca had bought him. Becca's earrings were made of real flowers. They served Grandma's famous cheesecake, which Ben and Becca and their family made from scratch. Their dear friends, who own the farm they were married at, planted a live wildflower isle for the ceremony. And did I mention goats? Fainting goats? All of these details were incredible, but nothing compares to the look these two have in their eyes when they look at each other. I am so happy for you, Ben and Becca! A million congratulations!

So much love and joy all wrapped up in one absolutely beautiful family! ❤️ It was nearly 100 degrees when we did this session in Grand Forks, but you would never have known. Everyone was such a pleasure to work with. Thank you all so much!

I can’t help it. I love photographing flowers. I love slowing down enough to notice the details, the textures and the patterns. Correct me if I’m wrong, but are those the CELLS of the bird of paradise leaf?! And that little fly basking in the sun on the other side…😍

I bought this dahlia tuber from a local gal here in Fargo who had some extras. In the past all the dahlias I have grown have been about 18 inches tall, so I assumed the same for this one. I put her in a pot this spring and she has been growing, and growing, and growing. Right now she’s at least 36 inches tall and the blooms are just starting to open. I was shocked to see the coloring – look at the yellow and pink petals! Also, is that not the coolest bud getting ready to burst open? I can’t believe you can see all the perfect little petals inside!

Noah Coughlan is aiming to cross every state on foot. He’ll be only the third person to ever do so, and today he came through Fargo! He is taking time at each of his stops to interview the American people, including the remaining WWII veterans. I am glad I grabbed my camera at the last minute!
