A deeper dive into the darkness. May 18, 2025. Probably the most personally impactful documentary film I’ve done, Behind The Chase 3 looks at the 1.5 mile-wide tornado that impacted Plevna, Kansas. You could hear it, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 feel it. You could even smell it - broken trees and manure. And on occasion, what I thought smelled like drywall.

As a and filmmaker, obviously I hope to see , but I’d be quite okay not seeing something like that again.

I spent most of September wondering why the hell I was still doing this.

Bad forecasts. Empty roads. Thousands of miles. Chases I knew probably weren’t going to produce anything — and I went anyway.

Then September 11 happened.

This is probably the most personal film I’ve made about , and the response to it has genuinely caught me off guard. People are actually watching this one — and sticking around for the story, not just the .
