The Gold Hope Project

To everyone that doesn't know, the Gold Hope Project is a non-profit that helps families with children battling cancer connect with photographers. We are proud to be one of only two photographers in North Dakota that work with Gold Hope to provide free sessions to these families.

Recently, we had the honor of photographing our first Fighter Session for the Gold Hope Project. We are so incredibly grateful that we were able to photograph such an amazing child and his family. Being present at his bell ringing ceremony was beautiful, emotional, and a moment in time that we will not forget. A huge thank you to Westin's family for trusting us to photograph such a momentous time in all of their lives.

As some of you might know, we are photographers for a non-profit organization (Gold Hope Project) who aim to provide free portrait sessions to families battling pediatric cancer while funding innovative pediatric cancer research.⁠ Feel free to follow along on our Instagram page as we share Gold images to spread awareness! As always please share with anyone in the area that may benefit from this service 💛

🎗September is pediatric cancer awareness month.🎗Today, 43 children will be diagnosed with cancer and sadly 7 children will die from this disease.

💛The causes of childhood cancer are unknown and can not be prevented.

💛Due to lack of research, some pediatric cancers have a zero percent survival rate, either at diagnosis or recurrence.

💛All 16 different childhood cancers receive 4% of the national cancer institute’s nearly $5 billion dollar budget while other cancers receive much more.

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, the whole family is affected and we want them to know they are not alone in this journey.

We are finally jumping back into the Facebook world to share some of our sessions. Amidst all of the things that have been happening in our world, we have found ourselves focusing on spending less time online.

We are sure by this point, Facebook's algorithms will stop most people from even seeing this post, but we are excited to start sharing more of our work again with the people who do see our posts.
