I set out at 4 am to shoot with no exact plans. I had come across a Great Egret and Blue Heron but found it difficult in my attempt to not frighten them as they were really close. I was photographing this Osprey nest as the little one kept making appearances. In watching them I was able to capture the other adult coming in with the morning catch as the sun was cresting over the horizon. I wish the little one had poked his head out for this shot.

Pikes Place in Seattle, Washington.

This is from our cross-country road trip a couple of years ago. It was such an amazing trip. I always wanted to capture this image and finally got the chance. I was blessed by rain for this shot as it made this image pop with the beautiful reflections of red on the street.

Last week we hit the road for a short trip to the city. A trip more about my photography than the things we experience together. Though Kandyce shared in the journey it was more fun for me. This photograph of Boston was a labor of love and is only half of a panoramic view of the city that I took consisting of 13 photographs. Cityscapes, especially at night, have always elicited this sense of wonder and curiosity. I could linger on a photograph for an insane amount of time trying to immerse myself into its life. Gazing upon each of the structures that make up the city and imaging the life happening within each. I love the city just as much as I love the mountains for the very things they offer. The life that the people breathe into the city to the life that the mountains breathe into each soul it touches. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoy losing myself in it. When the barista asks your name for your cup and hears Cannibas instead of Kandyce. Great for laughs to go along with off the hook coffee. If you’re ever in North Conway, NH you’d be a fool to miss out on this gem of a place. Give their Bailey’s Latte a taste as well.
