I'm a Pet Photographer serving the Northern VA, DC, and MD area! That’s why when I had the chance to start my own business, I choose to combine my two passions of animals and photography! The concluding day--Day 110--of the Walk for Peace. At the Lincoln Memorial, Buddhist Monks from around the world along with thousands of others in-person and streaming live met for a Peace Gathering with the 19 Buddhist monks and Peace Dog Aloka who walked 2,300 miles from Fort Worth, Texas for five tenets of Peace displayed on their flag: Hope, Compassion, Loving-Kindness, Harmony, and Love. At the end of the ceremony the monks' walk leader, Venerable Bhikkhu Pannakara, lifted Aloka for the crowds and gently set him down.

I had the honor of walking with and listening to the Venerable Buddhist Monk Bhikkhu Pannakara on Wednesday February 11 at the Peace Gathering held at the Lincoln Memorial. He led 19 other monks 2,300 miles from Ft Worth Texas to Washington, DC. Aloka, the Peace Dog, was their constant companion much beloved for the heart on his forehead. Here are a few of the photos featuring Aloka!
