Sixteen years.
In July, Photography by Mallory officially turns 16 years old.
I’ve been photographing people since 2010, and for many years, this was my full-time career and my dream job.
When my husband lost his vision, I needed the stability of a full-time job with benefits, and photography became my part-time career instead. Over the years, I’ve taken on fewer and fewer sessions as I balanced two jobs, school, and life. Eventually, I realized that something had to give.
I need more work-life balance, more time with my family, and more space to simply breathe.
So, while the business side of Photography by Mallory is officially “retiring,” this isn’t a complete goodbye.
I’ll still take on a very small number of sessions each year. I have so many wonderful longtime clients that I simply can’t imagine never photographing again, and truthfully, I still love creating these memories.
Thank you to every couple, family, senior, child, and client who trusted me over the last 16 years. You’ve allowed me to witness some of life’s most beautiful moments, and I will forever be grateful for that.
This is the end of one chapter—but not the end of the story. ❤️
