Only I miss you every day, only I held you when you were here, and only I remember you every year. You're my special ray of sunshine my girl. 21 years is a long time for a heart to miss someone.
I felt you so often these past few weeks. I wonder often about who you would have been like. Mostly I just wish I could hug you just once, see you smile, and tell you I love you.
Your brother Sam turned 18 and I tried focusing on that, but I played your song as I cooked dinner. It just made me miss you, but this year there was a little smile there too.
