Well...I've been dropping hints for a while now, so I guess it's time to make it official.
Back in 2004, scared to death...with the help of my hubby and family, we built a little studio in our garage and called it Josie Hannes Design. I had no idea where it would go...but I'm proud of the business I built. I've made so many friends and connections because of it.
I do feel sad for hanging it up...but it’s time. 22 years, and this OLD broad is tired of hauling gear, setting up, tearing down, rolling around in the grass for the perfect shot...and sweating or freezing my butt off. I will miss seeing the kids change year after year. That has honestly been one of the most fun parts for me to watch. I could get sappy here....because there is a lot I will miss, but I'm not going to make this sad. To all those sweet and cute faces, ornery looks, kids who were scared at first and then warmed up to me. All the newborns, the Little League’s, all the sport teams, band kids, dance kids, seniors, the families, the weddings, the design clients and all the friends I've made along the way...what a fun ride it has been!
I have been blessed with SUPER GREAT employees along the way too, holding it all together for me behind the scenes. I am the creative one, not the organized one (HAHA).
I appreciate our community for supporting me and trusting me all these years, it truly means so much to me (no I am not crying).
I'm putting my camera down (sounds like euthanasia...and kind of feels like it too - HAHA). So...RIP, JHD Photography Studio.
Time for another crazy train to occupy these tracks. In December last year, I started a fun little shoppe called Foxy Curations, and I'm loving it! I get to hear laughter every day. It's so much fun, we have a fun inventory that matches my warped personality (and apparently a lot of yours).
Thank you again Fairfield and beyond for 22 amazing years you've all been such a blessing to my life (not crying here either)....
I hope you'll stick around because this next adventure is going to be a fun one...and hopefully our community will embrace this business as well!
XOXO-Josie
