I've been the house photographer for the Westport Academy of Dance for some years now -- if I'm being honest I don't even remember what year I started photographing the talented dancers at this studio.

What I do know is that this year is the studio's 50th anniversary and, to celebrate, the teachers staged an epic closing number for their annual recitals, which included current and former teachers, staff, and students all dancing on stage together. Here's a look behind the scenes at their final dress rehearsal.

I've spent the past couple of afternoon photographing rehearsals for the Westport Academy of Dance's spring recitals. I'll be there shooting all weekend, but for now I love the quiet (and sometimes not so quiet) anticipation of the big event!

This week, I had the privilege to be a (photographing) fly on the wall at an intimate concert by violinist Joshua Bell and soprano Larisa Martínez, who just happen to be husband and wife.

The event, to benefit the Westport Country Playhouse, was held at a private home in Fairfield and featured Bell and Martínez's gorgeous music, a cocktail party and a chance to hear Bell's 313 year old Stradivarius violin at work.
