NEW GLASS! We are very excited to announce that we now have our first set of vintage anamorphic lenses, a 1/1 set of Toyo Eiki / Shiga Anamorphics. These lenses are incredibly unique in their flaring/characteristics and we can’t wait to share example footage soon. If you’re interested in using these on your next project let us know! After 20 years of growing Dc-Camera from nothing to a serious production rental facility in the Mid Atlantic, the time has come to pass the torch. I will be 67 years old this year and feel the strain. Dc-Camera has a new owner as of today and will bring new perspective, youthful energy, contemporary ideas and be better able to roll with the coming challenges than this (old) guy.

I appreciate this community very much. With that in view, I will continue to be involved in assisting the new owner, Tristan Loayza and his family moving forward in every way I can. Rest assured that very little will change at the store.

You will still receive the same excellent service by the same friendly faces you have come to know so well over the years. I want to thank our staff for their dedication and loyalty. The growth of DC-Camera would not have been possible without their hard work. Particularly Marietta Naramore for 12 years of dedication and loyalty. Jamie Mahon has managed the store with a steady hand and has been with Dc Camera for 4 years. Kyle Van D**e, Jamie's predecessor and with 5 years under his belt, has been amazing, steering the ship during a turbulent time in DC-Camera's history. Joel Pickford within a mere 2 years has made himself indispensable as lead rental technician. And of course we cannot forget our terrific newbies Zack Ingwersen and Panah Neshati as well as our part-timers Michael Bartell & Brian MacDonald. All these folks will continue to Make Dc Camera what it has been and will continue to be: the best there is!

I’ll also continue to DP myself so I will see you around campus.

Thanks to Dc Camera's staff for Joining Marietta and myself for a Christmas celebratory (and year end) dinner. It was very nice to all come together for a meal, it looked like a good time had by all! And Lin brought her cute-as-a-button baby for everyone to meet and hang with for a while, who was very good and no fussy at all.

From all of us at Dc Camera we are very saddened to hear of the passing of Martin and Nate. Martin was incredibly creative and inspirational, pushing to grow our local film community. He was always ready to reach out to fellow freelancers and businesses to help elevate each other. They will be missed, our hearts go out to the families and friends. Rest in Peace Martin and Nate.
