There is something so special about a family choosing to pause, come together, and say, “This season of our lives deserves to be remembered.” 🤎🍂

To this beautiful family, thank you for allowing 224 Photography to be part of your story. I hope that these family portraits become more precious with every passing year.

And to the family that keeps saying, “We need to take family pictures,” go ahead and make the time. I know getting everybody together, finding outfits, and working around schedules can be a lot. Trust me, I get it! But years will pass while we’re still trying to find the perfect time.

The babies get bigger, everybody gets busier, and before you know it, that picture you’ve been meaning to take is years overdue.

Be intentional about getting in the picture with your family. These are the people you love, and this part of your story deserves to be captured too. 🤎🍂

Today marks 8 YEARS since I stepped into my studio, and I am so grateful! 🥹❤️

In September 2018, I started with what I had available to me. And over the years, God has blessed me with abundance.

Granted…some of it is just me doing the absolute MOST, because I really need to get rid of some stuff like YESTERDAY. 😅 But nevertheless, He still made the provision.

There have been soooo many times I wanted to give up because, whew…working with people can be challenging at times.

I can remember one particular day when I had decided, “I’m done!" By the time I drove from Statesboro to Fairfax, God had sent someone with a word for me that basically said...

Oh no, you’re not! There’s still work to be done in this season.

So I remained obedient.

And here I am, 8 years later, still serving in the very thing I prayed for.

There’s so much I could say about these 8 years, but what feels most important in this moment is encouraging somebody else to STAY THE COURSE.

God placed something inside each of us, but we have to nourish it long enough to see the results.

Planting the seed is only the first step.

Whatever your “something” is, take care of it like it’s a baby. Feed it. Protect it. Be patient with it. Keep showing up for it, even when you don’t see immediate results.

Give it time to grow.

And one day, you’ll look around and realize you’re standing in the middle of something you once prayed for.

Success is the default. Put in the work and it has no choice but to show up!

From a blank studio to a vision slowly coming together. Every balloon, bow, pearl, and little detail was placed with the final images in mind.
