I had an absolute blast driving through the mountains with Lindsay, her sister Sarah, and their beloved Copper. We had been planning this adventure for a while, and I was so excited to spend the day with the two sisters and their sweet pup.
We drove through harsh rains and got closer to the mountains. It had been raining all week, I mean it felt like months just pouring and I remember praying, maybe, just maybe, there would be a little glimpse of sunshine for us. And my prayers were answered. The sun did show up us. As we made our way toward our destination, I was excited to capture their bond and, of course, all the love they have for Copper. Because Copper was the main show. He was the star.
He was so full of freedom, roaming around, taking in every bit of the adventure, and stopping to soak up all the love from his aunt and his mama. Watching the three of them together was something I will genuinely never forget.
And honestly, I could barely catch my breath trying to keep up with Copper, but I wouldn’t have traded it for anything.
We were all completely present, breathing in the fresh air, taking in the colors, laughing, loving on Copper, and simply living our best lives in that moment. There was nowhere else we needed to be.
It was one of those days that reminded me why I love what I do. Not just because I get to take photographs, but because I get to experience these little adventures with people, become part of their stories, and preserve the moments that mean something.
It was a glorious. A grand day. And one I am truly grateful I got to be part of.
Also just want to simply say, I have no idea if next year will be our last, but these past three years have been truly remarkable. Being part of so many beautiful people’s lives, wandering through this wonderful world together, and sharing in each other’s stories means a lot to me and I feel so much gratitude for it. Let’s continue to make the most of it. Let’s keep wandering, making memories, and finding beauty in all our surroundings.
And I’ll keep preserving them with care and heart.
