The brand new mothers running on no sleep and pure love.
The seasoned mothers who have done this for years with tired eyes and full hearts.
The grandmothers.
The bonus moms.
The stepmoms.
The adoptive mothers.
The women raising babies that didn’t come from their bodies but absolutely came from their souls.
The aunties who love like mothers.
The women healing their inner child while raising one.
The single mothers carrying worlds on their backs.
The mothers in heaven.
The mothers missing their babies.
The women who desperately wanted to be mothers.
The soon-to-be mothers dreaming of tiny feet and future giggles.
The fur baby moms.
The plant moms.
The caretakers.
The nurturers.
The women who mother everyone around them without even realizing it.

One of the greatest honors of my life is getting to stand front and center in some of the most sacred seasons of motherhood and document them forever.

From growing bellies, to delivery rooms, to newborn snuggles, to sticky toddler hands, to chaotic beautiful everyday moments that someday won’t feel ordinary at all anymore… I never take it lightly.

There is something unbelievably powerful about photographing women in motherhood. The softness. The strength. The sacrifice. The transformation. The love that changes them forever.

I get to witness it all through my lens and it honestly humbles me every single time.

And while I still quietly pray for my own turn someday, today I’m deeply grateful for the love I already get to hold. My sweet fur babies. My incredible mom. And the women in my life who have loved me, guided me, protected me, and mothered me in their own ways over the years…I cherish you more than words could ever explain.

Happy Mother’s Day to every version of motherhood there is. You are seen. You are loved. And your story matters more than you know. 🤍

Anyways hi hello yes I’m alive.

Currently typing this from the editing abyss where time is fake and Lightroom owns my soul.

And in case you’re wondering…
Yes I’m still drowning in editing.
Yes I still love this job an unreasonable amount.
Yes it’s busy season.
Yes I’ve cried and asked several times if I’m good enough
Yes I’m tired.
Yes I did 36 sessions just in the last 30 days *cue evil laugh*
Yes your galleries are actively being worked on.
Yes I keep stopping to stare at your photos like a proud little raccoon who found shiny objects.

But truly, thank you guys for your patience lately. I care SO much about what I deliver and your galleries deserve my whole brain, whole heart, and at least a little sleep deprivation apparently 😂

Here’s a little rambling from me…

Can’t believe it’s already April.

2026 has felt… heavy.
in a lot of ways I didn’t expect.
but I’m still hopeful for what the rest of this year holds 🤍

this bloom season has been such a weird one
fields popping up and disappearing just as fast
(this one already got mowed down and I’m still not over it)

I’ve been a little quiet on here
mostly because I’ve been pouring into everyone else
running multiple social accounts
while still shooting more than ever behind the scenes

so yes… I’m busy
and yes… I’m a little behind on editing
but I promise there are so many beautiful sessions coming your way

I still love this job so much
even in the hard seasons

lately life has looked like:
audio books playing in the background to keep me sane
trying to cook more from scratch
starting our garden
being more intentional with my health
and learning how to just… slow down

my husband and I are still walking through our fertility journey
and my family could use some extra prayers right now… in more ways than one

mental health is a fickle lady
and I’m learning that it isn’t linear
some days feel really full and beautiful
and others feel heavy and hard

both can exist at the same time

but in the middle of all of it
I keep coming back to the things that matter most
loving my people
being an auntie and a godmother
showing up for the ones I love
watching my friends raise their babies
learning our family history

Just the the little in-between moments that don’t make it to instagram

and trying to stay present through it all 🤍

anyways, if you made it all the way through this long winded post… thank you for sitting in my thoughts with me.
I hope you love this session as much as I do
because I’m a little obsessed

✨ Happy 97th Birthday, Mickey Mouse! ✨

Mickey’s birthday always makes me think about why Disney means so much to me. It isn’t just the movies or the parks, it’s the memories and the way it brings families together in a way nothing else really does.

Seeing Walt and Mickey in front of the castle just feels like the heart of the whole place. The plaque says, “I think most of all what I want Disneyland to be is a happy place… where parents and children can have fun, together.” That’s exactly what Disney has been in my life.

Some of my favorite pieces of family history are the film photos my great-grandfather took in the park decades ago that I recently posted about as well.

And then there’s my 5th-grade Walt Disney project. My parents helped me create a whole little homemade “movie” about Walt and in there we did a train ride scene where he first dreamed up Mickey Mouse. That part is actually true history. After losing the rights to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Walt was riding a train back to California and started sketching the idea of a new character. He first called him Mortimer until Lillian convinced him that Mickey sounded friendlier. My mom drew all the artwork for my video, we bounced up and down like we were on a train with train sounds playing on our big stereo and my dad filmed it, complete with his Darth Vader breathing behind the camera, haha.

Maybe one day I’ll post the full thing because it is truly a masterpiece of unintentional comedy. 😂

So today I’m celebrating Mickey and the spark of imagination that started on that train ride. A moment that turned into a lifetime of joy for families, including mine.
