I wrote this song for my beautiful baby girl, who has been through more in her first year than most. Through every medical challenge, every procedure, every moment of pain, fear, and frustration, she has remained the happiest, most resilient little soul I know.

No matter what life has placed in front of her, she always seems to find her way back to joy. A smile. A giggle. A silly face. She has taught me that resilience doesn’t always look like strength. Sometimes it looks like laughter in the middle of a hard day.

Like a sunflower turning toward the sun, she instinctively looks for the light. She reminds me every day that joy can exist alongside struggle, and that happiness is not the absence of hardship, but the courage to keep shining through it.

My sweet girl, this song is for you.
