This is why I feel bad when families ask me for just a couple of photos or a “quick shoot”. 🥺 My mamma heart can’t even walk away at the end of a session. I usually end up taking photos as we walk to the car because I see tiny details that I can’t ignore 😭. It never shuts off for me. Posed photos are not what you’ll look back for - I promise.

Life’s been a little more complicated than usual the past few weeks.

What started off as an insignificant injury at home while swimming with our doggies for Sofia, quickly turned into a nightmare that could have cost her her leg or her life. I’m not going to sit here and bash the US healthcare system, because maybe I’m just “lucky” and it’s always some kind of disasterous experience, but I’m forever grateful we live across from Mexico, are citizens of Mexico and have access to amazing doctors ready to help.

If you helped us in any way, shape, or form the past few weeks - even if it was to simply check in - THANK YOU! You made the load a little lighter. It’s because of you (you know who you are) that we got through this without losing our minds or setting anyone’s house on fire.

She’s not completely healed yet, but thankfully, out of the woods.

I hope some day we can repay all of you, but for now, know that gratitude is 100% heartfelt on our part.

Those of you who take the time to follow me know where I stand on most issues - I’m not quiet about it. I do feel the need to be preemptive about this because I hate having to go back to every post to make sure meta didn’t label me as AI. REALLY, I just want to be able to post my photos - I am not a content creator. I really hate that Instagram & social media have forced us to try to be content creators to work with their stupid algos. 😭
