A very large area of severe weather is expected today, as well as a huge 10% hatched area and a moderate area of 15% # for significant tornados.

All hazards will be possible and different modes of severe such as supercells and a QLCS will be likely.

Stay alert and have a plan in place. We will be targeting Kansas City Kansas late this afternoon.

Awaiting storm arrival in Kansas City now, likely around 9pm / 10pm

Also plan on chasing the tornado risk in Kansas City area tomorrow as well during the evening. I wont be suprised if somewhere in the Enhanced risk gets upgraded to moderate. Depends alot on how the storms tonight turn the atmosphere over.

All, stay weather aware for Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa and much of MO for Sunday the 18th and Monday 19th. All modes of severe weathet will be possible as well as heavy rainfall.

Morning,

Severe thunderstorms are possible today across southern Wisconsin. Peak storm intensity is expected between 4 and 8 pm. Damaging winds, large to very large hail, and tornadoes (some strong) are all possible.

Be sure to have a way to receive warnings and have a shelter plan in place.

Attention🚨

Multiple corridors of severe storms, including strong tornadoes, are expected later this afternoon into early tonight across the Upper Midwest, particularly across southeast Minnesota, northern Iowa and western Wisconsin. Per NWS / SPC

Have a way to recieve warnings. Not everyone will recieve warnings as storms outside of the moderate risk will need to break a cap (warm layer of air) above the surface to initiate. The areas that do will quickly go severe.
