Martha is a landscape, nature, and wildlife photographer currently living in Colorado. Her love of
nature was instilled early on as a child while enjoying camping trips with her family. Later in life,
it strengthened after exploring remote places via backpacking trips with friends. Originally from
Mexico City, she has lived and traveled extensively, which has helped her appreciate diverse
cultures

and the beauty of this world. Drawn to emotion, texture, and light, she aims to capture
this in beautiful and interesting ways when photographing people and the world around her.

Social media has been a huge part of our lives over the last few years, as artists, we almost depend on it as it facilitates our art reaching to many corners of the world. Reaching people we would otherwise have a hard time reaching.

I have a love/hate relationship with social media. I don’t post many of my images on Instagram, not like I used too.

I have made it my priority to focus on my newsletters and website. If you would like to see my work, please head over to my website. You can also subscribe to my newsletter. I announce gallery releases as well as share many other things through it.

This is a way you can support me. I also print my work so, if you would like to buy a print, please let me know.

As always, thank you for the support 🖤

💐April 2026 Newsletter - https://mailchi.mp/marthamontielphotography/spring-is-here

There is a lot I love about living in Colorado, especially how the seasons change. Summer, autumn and winter bring dramatic shifts, but since we live at a high altitude, spring is mostly mud season for us. Snow often sticks around until June and with the exception of some lower elevation areas, wildflowers don’t appear until late June through August.

These three images are from February 2025 while photographing in Rocky Mountain NP with friends. I released a gallery of those images last year but, I still have many images from that outing that have not been edited or seen the light of day. I added this first image to my website last month and wanted to share it here. That first one is my favorite of the three, to me, it looks like a painting of a ballerina (I swear I am not doing drugs, I just have a vivid imagination) You don’t have to agree with me on this one. Do you see it or see something different?

I enjoyed the freedom of creating artsy images of dorman plants while taking full advantage of flat light in winter.

What ya think?

I welcome your feedback
