On Sunday it appeared there was a new docking supervisor on duty at the 10th street boat launch Port of Everett. It appeared that if you wanted to get your boat on the trailer you may have to drop off a fish for the inspector on duty.

Everett Public Schools has reached a tentative agreement with the Everett Education Association (EEA) on a contract, which includes the proposed student calendars for the next two academic years.

The final step in the process is for the Everett Public Schools Board of Directors to vote on the ratified EEA contract at its Sept. 8 regular school board meeting.

The first day of school for grades 1-12 will be Wednesday, Sept. 2. Preschool and kindergarten will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. this evening, Everett Police and Everett Fire responded to a collision involving a vehicle and a juvenile bicyclist near 112th St SE and Silver Lake Rd.

The juvenile has been transported to the hospital for his injuries.

The Traffic Safety Unit is responding to investigate this incident.

Please avoid the area and expect delays.
