‼️✈️ HERE WE GOOO!!! On our way, and time to reveal the big news, we are headed to JAPAN!! 🇯🇵 Depending on time available and weather (there is a typhoon in the area), current plans are to stream from Tokyo Haneda International Airport Saturday afternoon or evening (Japan time). SydSquad was just there for some amazing streams, and now we will be too!! 🎉

⚠️ BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!! Over the next week, there is hope that weather will clear and we'll be able to experience the sights and sounds of Okinawa Naha International Airport as well!! Other streams throughout the trip will pop up as able, including possibly a stream from one of Japan's famous bullet trains 🚅 - the Sinkansen!!

‼️✈️ SpotLAX/CDF Update:

It's unfortunate, but I have to announce that due to work schedule conflicts I will be unable to join everyone in LA for this year's SpotLAX/CDF weekend in September. It breaks my heart because I know a number of you were looking forward to meeting up again, and I was looking forward to meeting many new friends.

There is a silver lining here in two ways, though:

First - I will be bringing some very special live streams to you during the month of September, so keep your notifications on and keep watching the channel for more info. I am very, very excited about the locations I'm planning to bring to your screens!!

Second - while I know everyone was also looking forward to a new installment of the Codeshare Crew, don't be too discouraged yet. We are working on something special for the one or two Codeshare Crew streams planned for that weekend, so stay tuned to The Random Spotter, Runway DFW, and Reverse Ops‬ on YouTube and Instagram for more info in the near future!!

A rare sight outside Alaska - a Lynden Air Cargo L-100 departs from Guam for a support flight to Rota, a Northern Marianas island that took a direct hit from Super Typhoon Bavi 5 days prior. All while a Japan Airlines 737 performs touch & go and low-level vectoring maneuvers in the background.

I fly 'em all around the world 🚀✈️

After mating the Pegasus rocket carrying Katalyst's LINK spacecraft, Northrop Grumman Corporation’s Stargazer L-1011 aircraft departed from the Wallops airfield. NASA Wallops' ability to support both spacecraft and Pegasus rocket integration within weeks of each other streamlined the path for this mission to boost the orbit of NASA’s Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory later this summer.

The aircraft will make its way to the Marshall Islands ahead of the mission to boost Swift. Katalyst’s robotic servicing spacecraft will launch on Pegasus to rendezvous with Swift and raise its altitude, extending its science mission lifespan.

Plane Jockey Rudy has stepped down as co-host of Airline Videos Live. It’s hard to put into words what the last 5 years have meant—so many moments, memories, and milestones that wouldn’t have been the same without him.

We’re incredibly grateful for everything Rudy brought to the channel and this community, and we wish him all the best as he continues to devote his time to teaching and other endeavors.
