Monroe Reptile Zoo has permanently closed. Kyle and I went to visit the zoo for one last time on Monday 2/16/26 their last day of being open. Bittersweet seeing a childhood staple for the last time, so many reptiles that has been apart of our whole lives, with school showings, festival visits and party appearances, these will be core memories that we will cherish forever!
We are excited to welcome the new Wildlife Center that will be taking over the zoo, and hope that all the reptiles get wonderful new homes!

Today Nov. 15th is Steve Irwin day!
A to remember the legend we was and to continue his journey in wildlife conservation! We are so grateful to have been able to visit his zoo that has grown to be such a large famous place to share his love and passion for wildlife! They did such a great job honoring him and his story there, it is such a bitter sweet place to visit!

Incredibly touched by how the zoo shared his life with us. By having a "hall of fame", boats that he use now as decor, his uniform mounted, and all the info cards explaining how he found and helped the specific wildlife! He was a hero and an ideal to so many and I love how even today his passion for wildlife and his stories still move through the world, not just in Australia!
