I love this trend. Sometimes it’s nice to be reminded on how others view you, I think it’s so easy to get caught up in comparison and self doubt, but when you’re brought back to who you truly are, life starts to feel fulfilling again.

The sneak peeks from the most thoughtful, emotional, and beautiful day. These two have such an old timey love, their vows were so personal they had everyone including all the vendors crying, I left feeling like I truly know their love story, and it felt like I had known them, their family, and their friends for my whole life.

Every detail was intentional, the weather was perfect, and the venue couldn’t have matched their vibe more. I can’t wait to dig into editing all the photos, but for now, enjoy these. 🤍

My little bear.

Almost 3 years later, I finally found the time to edit my sweet boys newborn photos. The tears I shed while looking at these are because I don’t really remember these days. I don’t want anymore kids, but what I want more than anything is to be a second time mom to my first born. If only I knew now that we’d make it through those early days.

The audio is special too, we used to always listen to together, on the car rides around town so he’d sleep, while rocking in his chair, or if I would just sing it to him softly under my breath while he fell asleep on me. Always take the newborn photos, they might really be some of your only memories while they are that small. This was actually the day we brought him home from the hospital, I cried the entire time I took these too because I felt a love for him like I’ve never felt before. Completely overwhelming in every sense of the word.

I am so thrilled I pulled the trigger and bought a personal camera. Being a photographer, I get physically ill if I see something I want to take a picture of and don’t have my camera with me, so I was hauling around my canon r6 everyday and giving myself shoulder and back pain because that thing is so dang heavy!!

Not to mention I would take photos of Phoenix and not get to edit them until literally a year later (his newborn photos still aren’t done, he’s 2.5 😅) because my clients photos always come first obviously, but with this I can just snap and they already look exactly how I would edit them. Incredible incredible incredible.

This definitely isn’t a camera I would do a whole session on unless it was a specific film inspired session, but it is soooo great for me to take on trips or just every day life.

Yes I have been waiting an entire year to post these photos paired with this song. One of my favorite songs of all time and every time I hear it, it reminds me of the eerie, other worldly, and absolutely beautiful Washington State.

These photos are from our trip there. It has taken me a long time to share them, but I am still not over the amazing opportunity I had to go out there and shoot my first ever elopement. Washington is one of those places I never wanted to visit, because I knew I would never want to come home. I sat on that log in the second photo and cried my eyes out on our last day there because coming back to Indiana felt like a crime when places like this exist. I hope you enjoy these and obviously Zach is my muse.
