Every April I typically offer mini-sessions to support my March for Babies walk… but this year I’m proud to share an extra-special initiative.

My daughter Avery is a second-grader with a big heart who recently launched Avery's Helpful Hair Kits, a project aimed at providing haircare essentials to kids in foster care, especially little girls of color like her.

The Rice Children’s Home in Evanston is the first recipient of Avery’s Helpful Hair Kits… and this is just the beginning.

This year, I attempted my first marathon- running the Chicago Marathon on the March of Dimes team. Although I only made it 15.37 miles on that 80-degree day, I'm proud to have raised funds for March of Dimes in memory of my premature twins.
