I keep thinking about something lately…

I recently found my own heirloom portrait from when I was around five years old. It’s been almost 44 years, and somehow that little framed portrait has followed me through every season of life.

And it made me realize something…

I honestly don’t know if I would still have that photo today if it had only lived on a disk, a phone, or a computer.
But because it was printed…
Because someone thought it was worth framing…
Because I grew up and it had a place in our home instead of hidden in a folder somewhere…

I still have it.

That’s exactly why every Heirloom Session includes a beautifully framed portrait.

Not because it’s “extra.”
Not because it’s trendy.
But because these photographs DESERVE to outlive us.

One day, your children and maybe even your grandchildren will hold these portraits in their hands and see the little details you never want to forget.

The missing teeth.
