Recently engaged? Congratulations! 🤍🥂 I remember planning my own wedding in 2017, and sometimes I wish I could go back and experience it again! My grandma was known by her neighborhood as the “lady in the window”. Every day, she would sit at the table by the tall dining room windows, visible to all who passed by. She would play solitaire, drink her coffee, and watch the hummingbirds flit around the feeder outside. The news was always on tv, and she always had a seat available for anyone who wanted to visit. The sight of my grandma in the window became a neighborhood landmark over the years. But now, the table sits empty. After 95 beautiful years of life, my grandma passed away peacefully last week. My grandma played a major part in my upbringing, and I will always be thankful for that. She was a pillar in our family—always strong, funny, and never wavering in love for those around her. The empty seat in her window has now become a reminder of her absence, and she will be missed deeply by all who knew her. 🩷

For those looking to forgo a first look, this is a sweet alternative! The “first touch” is a special moment to connect with your soon-to-be spouse without actually seeing them on your wedding day. It is also a great way to calm nerves while creating more anticipation for the walk down the aisle. 🩷

It’s been a minute! I decided to take a break from my business social media pages over the last few months to focus on my family and mental health. Now that life seems to be settling down a bit, I’m excited to get back to it! I have still been working, and I’m looking forward to sharing more on here going forward. Stay tuned! 💛

My four year old learned all about Groundhog Day in school last week. She told everyone how he left his burrow and didn’t see his shadow—which means spring is coming! That cute little groundhog isn’t always accurate, but it did stir up a longing in me for springtime. I could use a healthy dose of sunshine, bright colors, and fresh flowers right about now. Anyone else? 🩷
