In a lot of ways I miss the girl I was at the beginning of 2020.

I was mentally and physically tougher. I was more disciplined. I was discovering a healthy relationship with food and alcohol. Even when the pandemic hit, I was able to fight through most of my anxiety and find peace by maintaining good habits: cooking nourishing foods, training for a marathon, being in nature.

Then winter hit. I think the combination of a divided country (election years are the literal worst), dreary weather, and my undiagnosed Hashimoto’s finally took me to a bad place.

The positive here is that I started making reels as a distraction/creative outlet, not knowing that it would lead to one of the coolest things I’ve ever created - this badass community of humans (100k+ of you 🙏🏼😭) who want to see women take their power back…or maybe you’re just here for the tasteful nudes. Either way, I’m so f*cking grateful for all of you and this opportunity.

So as I set my intentions for 2022, I envision an Anne that is a combination of the last two years. A woman who fights for YOUR health and happiness, but also one who fights for her own. I know she’s going to be the happiest version yet.

Things I’m shedding in 2022:

- The pressure to fill every opening in my calendar (success shouldn’t mean burnout)
- Alcohol
- Saying yes to things that negatively impact my mental health
- Stress-driven eating
- Sedentary habits (who wants to train for a half marathon with me 🙋🏼‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️)

Today I got up and sat outside as the sun was rising. I let the light hit my face, took some deep breaths, and actually thanked the universe for putting me where I am RIGHT NOW.

Trust the timing of things, and don't forget to slow down enough to enjoy a sunrise (or two).
