This is one of my most meaningful sessions from a number of years back. I grew up with these lovely people as fellow parents in my community. Clark was my youth pastor back in my church days and I have many fun memories of him from all the adventures our church group went on, Mexico missions trips, backpacking, winter retreats, summer retreats... This session with him and his awesome wife Cathy was a farewell gift to them as he knew his days on earth were timestamped and he only was with us for another month or 2 after these were taken. We were so fortunate to get this time together, I held back tears and did my photographers job as took in what a gift it is to know great people and to get a chance to say goodbye. This day we hiked up Powell Butte in Portland between thunderstorms and were graced with an empty, peaceful, beautiful space to enjoy. Miss you Clark, and love you Cathy
