2026 marks a whole decade of Dev Stroud Photo! A whole decade is honestly wild to say out loud!🍾
How beautiful it is to get to capture people’s most cherished moments in time. I will truly never take for granted the honor of being trusted with that.
What started as a love for stylized portraits forcing my siblings or calling friends like “get dressed, we’re taking photos around the neighborhood” slowly grew into a deep passion for storytelling.
This craft has taken me around the world. It has introduced me to the most incredible humans and allowed me to witness so much life through my lens.
I’ll be honest, I sometimes get caught up in thinking I’m not where I should be after ten years. But the reality is that for most of those ten years, I was literally still a kid lol. I deal with imposter syndrome more than I’d like to admit, but I have never once doubted that this is my calling. I feel incredibly blessed to have discovered what I love at such a young age and to have turned it into my career.
This post is a mix of some of my early images that I was so proud of, my early IG feed, and previous profile photos. I’m just taking a moment to pause, reflect, and appreciate how far I’ve come in this craft and to say that I’m proud of me.
To my day 1s who have supported me year after year after year, I love y’all fierce. Truly.
Special shoutout to Jay Eads () and Melissa Stickney (), my early mentors in those first few years. You both stewarded me and guided me in different ways, and I am forever grateful for the impact you had on me.
Here’s to ten years of doing what I love🤎🎞️
