Every love story carries its own rhythm, its own quiet kind of magic, yet the one thing they all seem to leave me with is an uncontrollable smile while I document it all. 🥲

Before the world fully woke, we found ourselves stepping onto a trail none of us had ever wandered before. The morning air was still cool, the forest hushed, and the sun had yet to crest the hillside.

We followed winding paths beneath the trees, letting curiosity lead the way as waterfalls thundered beside us and hidden corners of the forest unfolded one after another. It felt fitting to tell their story surrounded by the wild beauty that has always been woven into the heart of their love.

When you get chills throughout the entire day. When you can feel the love in the way they look at one another. When both families already feel intertwined, like they were never two separate pieces to begin with.

These are the days that remind me just how blessed I am to witness and document the emotions woven quietly between each moment while everyone is fully present in it all.

When the first wedding of the season is blessed with sunshine, contagious joy, and a love that feels like two old souls finding their way back to one another, that is one beautiful way to set the bar for the year. 🤍

From the quiet getting ready moments to the celebration at the reception, every interaction I was lucky enough to witness felt deeply intentional and full of joy, which made documenting the day feel effortless.

I knew I was doing something right when, in the middle of the reception, a sweet older woman came up to me and asked if I was a friend of the family. I told her I wasn’t, but I felt like I was. She smiled and said I could have fooled her.

That moment gave me insight into something I hadn’t fully put words to before. With a background rooted in serving people, I’ve become so comfortable stepping into spaces where I know no one, yet somehow finding a way to belong, to slip into conversation, and to feel like part of the family.

Lately I’ve been reflecting on the butterfly effect and how I wouldn’t be where I am today without every experience that led me here. Every lesson, challenge, and season has shaped the way I witness connection, how I understand the weight of a fleeting moment, how I photograph it with intention, and how I help people of every age feel at ease being seen.

And what a gift that is.

To all of my couples, thank you for seeing my worth and trusting me with your most meaningful moments. I never take that lightly, and I won’t let you down. 🫶🏻

Proof that wild beauty lives where darkness and light hold hands. 🕯️💫

Zoë had a vision. Dark, romantic, a little magical. Candles, a skull, drifting fog, and the wild Oregon coast as the backdrop.

So we hiked into a hidden cove at sunset and brought it to life. As the light faded, we lit candles in the sand, let smoke curl through a shell in Dillon’s hands, and watched their October wedding vision begin to breathe.

What I love most is how intentional this felt. An engagement session inspired by the spirit of the wedding to come.

Moody, windswept, haunting, tender. The kind of beauty born where shadow meets glow.

And needless to say… I’m pretty sure we cleansed the cove of evil spirits that night. 🌙🌊✨
