If you asked me my favorite time of year for photos… it’s RIGHT NOW! Fall. October. All of it!

Why? I love the weather, the fall colors, the changing leaves, and the consistent, beautiful lighting. There’s just something about this time of year that makes my photographer heart happy!

This evening with Bronson was the perfect fall session. The location? Perfect. His outfit choices? On point. The whole evening just felt like fall should.

Now, the moms of senior guys always come with a little disclosure… 😂 Just a bit of fine print to make sure everything goes smoothly. It usually includes something about how he hates having his picture taken, won’t smile, or needs to make sure he shows his teeth.

And honestly? I LOVE this because now it becomes my mission. And it’s one I’ve learned is pretty easy to accomplish.

How? You just have to CONNECT with these kids. Talk about life, school, jobs, sports… whatever gets the conversation going. Before long, they relax, their personalities start to shine, and you discover they have a hidden model talent.

Enter Bronson. 🙌🏼

We had a great time tonight, and his smile is absolutely infectious! After just a few quick instructions, he had it down and completely nailed this moment. And THIS is exactly why I love what I do.

Sometimes, all it takes is a little conversation, a little direction, and letting these kids be themselves.

Listen. I love all my senior girls, but there is definitely something about senior guys that I absolutely adore.

I’ve done sunrise on the course, and now…a sunset. And I’m here for both.

This evening, I had the opportunity to spend the evening roaming the course with Blake, helping document this special season of his senior year. It feels like yesterday I was taking his sister’s senior pictures, and now here we are already.

The lighting was perfect. The temperature had just enough crisp fall air. And our conversations as we rode the golf cart from stop to stop — about high school, photography, life and everything in between — are the kind of moments I’ll hang onto.

Senior pictures are about so much more than pretty photos. They’re about freezing a little piece of who they are right now.

And Blake, I’m so glad I got to help capture yours. ⛳️🍂

Kam | Class of 2027 | Red Land High School It’s Senior Sunday, and where do I even start with Kam?

I’ve had the pleasure of watching you grow since the early days of elementary school, and I’m so thankful that you and Logan have remained friends all these years. I’ve been lucky enough to watch you grow up through softball at RLGSA and with the Hornets, field hockey, school dances, and all the little moments in between.

And then came your senior session… and it was absolutely perfect. 🥹

Your beauty, your outfit choices, the locations you picked, and of course, the dogs! 🐶 We even managed to sneak in a few family photos, which made the session that much more special.

I absolutely love the images we captured together, but even more than that, I’m thankful I got the opportunity to capture this special season of your life.

Thank you, Kam, for trusting me with your senior photos. I hope you have the most amazing senior year, and I can’t wait to see where life takes you next!

The sun played a little hide-and-seek with us this evening, but it sure made up for it by ending our session with gorgeous lighting and the prettiest cotton-candy sky!

The weather for our original date just didn’t cooperate, so we were extra thankful for this beautiful evening to capture Emma’s senior photos.

I promise I’m still here! 🙋‍♀️ It’s been a BUSY few weeks… personally, professionally, and with the side hustle!

A few quick updates:

1. Happy to report I finished the proof gallery from my recent session in Gettysburg… and didn’t notice any soldiers in the fields! 😮‍💨

2. But seriously… isn’t this one hell of a view?! The golden sun peeking through that beautiful building, the wide-open field, and all the golden-hour goodness. 🫠

3. Thank you all SO much for your patience as I continue to churn through galleries and get your photos ready! I promise I haven’t forgotten about you…

Madi | Class of 2027 | Central York High School

It’s Sunday, which means it’s time to share another one of the seniors I’ve been so fortunate to photograph.

Madi’s senior session took us to Country Joy Flowers just before some rain rolled through the area. We made the most of the beautiful blooms and captured some really great photos surrounded by all the flowers.

Madi also brought along a few items that hold a special place in her heart, which made her session even more personal and meaningful.

I’ve had the opportunity to get to know Madi over the years as she’s played travel softball and indoor club field hockey with Logan, so it’s special to now be part of capturing this season of her life.

And I’m not done photographing her yet! Madi is also one of my 2027 Senior Reps, and I’m looking forward to capturing plenty more memories with her over the next several months.

Madi, I hope you have an amazing senior year!
