Hello everyone,
It's been a little while since I've shared an update over here. Some of you may already know, but for those who don't, at the end of June I suddenly lost my dad.
My dad was the foundation of our family, and losing him has turned our lives completely upside down. It still feels like we're living in shock, and many days we're simply on autopilot, learning how to navigate this new life without him.
My dad was one of the most important people in my life. He believed in me even when I didn't believe in myself. He was incredibly proud of what I had built with my photography, and I never had to wonder how he felt because he always made sure I knew. In fact, he was the one who gave me my very first camera—the gift that sparked my love for photography. Over the past month, as I've been going through photos, I've discovered just how many pictures he took himself. I guess that's where I really got it from.
First and foremost, I want to thank each and every one of you for the incredible grace you've shown me during this time. From the messages filled with love and prayers to those of you who offered to reschedule your sessions before I even had the chance to reach out, your kindness has meant more than I can put into words. It's one of the many reasons I'm so grateful for my clients, who have truly become friends.
Over the last month, my responses have been slower than usual because I simply haven't been able to spend much time in my messages. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
At this time, I've decided not to take on any additional sessions for the remainder of 2026. August and September were already fully booked, and for that I am so thankful for your continued support. I'll be keeping the few available dates in October reserved as rain dates.
I do have three openings remaining for Fall Quick Sessions on October 1st and four openings left for my Christmas Tree Farm Minis in November.
Thank you again for the grace, love, and prayers you've shown my family and me. I ask that you continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers in the months ahead as we learn to carry on while honoring my dad's memory.

-After many years of always taking everyone else’s family portraits I finally talked my family and parents into taking family portraits this past November. We had never had portraits taken all together. I am forever thankful for my camera, tripod, and the technology that made it possible for me to take our first ever family portraits that I will truly cherish forever.
